SOUTH COCKERINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING   

Monday 9th December 2024 at Grimoldby Village Hall at 7.30 pm

 

Present   -, Cllr S Wood, Cllr P Hope, Cllr J Beilby, Cllr R Bell

  In absence of Cllr Needham Cllr J Beilby Chaired meeting,

1.   APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE – Cllr S Needham – illness

2.   DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS - None

3.   CO-OPTION OF COUNCILLORS- No candidates at this time.

4. PUBLIC QUESTIONS/ PRESENTATIONS None

5. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS

(5.1) Parish Annual Monday 23rd September 2024 – Proposed Cllr Bell, seconded Cllr Wood. Agreed.

6. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES

 (6.1) Clerk confirmed that both Salt Bins had been topped up by LCC Highways and that the 1 ton bag of Road Salt had been requested and delivery was pending.

(6.2) Letter congratulating Mr Cox on his cycle ride from JOGTLE have been posted on the Parish Council Notice Boards.

 7. NATIONAL GRID TRANMISSION GRIMSBY TO WALPOLE.

(7.1) Current position reviewed and agreed to keep the matter on future agendas.

8. TOWN AND PARISH COUNCIL SURVEY.

(8.1) the questions contained within the survey were discussed and it was agreed that Cllr. Beilby would draft a response on behalf of the Parish Council, which would be forwarded to the Clerk for distribution to other Councillors for their consideration and comments before being submitted to ELDC.

9. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST RM6261

(9.1) the alert from ELDC about this request was discussed. Since no request has been received by the Parish Council the matter was to be ignored at this time.

10. FINANCE REPORT

 (10.1) Clerk confirmed that all Councillors were now approved and accepted by Lloyds Bank to be signatures of Parish Council cheques.

(10.2)Current overall balance is £4201.59 Business Account £2307.03   SCPCC Account £1894.56.

 (10.3) Outstanding Invoices.  Village Hall Hire £20 for 9/12/2024

 (10.4) .Clerk informed meeting that Lloyds Bank had given notice that from12th December Business Instant Access Account would become a Commercial Instant Access Account and that from 14th January 2025 the SPCC Account would become  a Community Access Account and that there would be a charge f £4,25 per month for this account. There would also be an additional item charge of the number of transactions exceeded 100 per month. Clerk was directed to contact LALC to see if they could suggest where the accounts could be transferred to avoid the monthly charge,                                                ACTION CLERK

 

 11.  CORRESPONDANCE REPORT

 (11.1) Councillors confirmed receipt of the weekly LALC updates and the electronic copy of LALC News.

(12). PLANNING MATTERS

 (12.1) N-158/0442/24 approved by ELDC

13. MATTERS APERTAINING TO PARISH BUSINESS

(13.1)Safety Rail at junction of Church Walk footpath and South View Lane in dangerous condition – nails sticking out; wooden safety boards detached Clerk to report to LCC.     (13,2) Pole holding 30mph sign on entry  into village rusted through at base, Clerk to report to LCC.                                                                                                                                      (13.3) Cllr S Wood informed the meeting that she wished to resign as a Parish Councillor with immediate effect stating that she had thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Parish Council but that she felt it an appropriate time for her to step down. All expressed their regret at her decision . Chair thanked Cllr Wood for all her effort and commitment whilst she had been a member of the Parish Council.                                                        ACTION CLERK
