Minutes of the Annual Meeting held at Grimoldby Village Hall  (Draft)

7pm Monday 15th May 2023

 

Present; Cllr S Needham; Cllr P Hope,Cllr S Wood

Apologies None

Declaration of Interests     All Parish Coincillors present confirmed that they had lodged completed Declaration of Interst forms with the Clerk of the Parish Council as required following the recent May elections.

  1. Election of Officers
    1. Chairman- Cllr S Needham   proposed as Chairman by Cllr P Hope, seconded by Cllr S Wood. Elected unopposed
    2. Vice Chair – Cllr S Wood   proposed as Vice Chair by Cllr S Needham, seconded Cllr P Hope. Elected unopposed.
  2. Minutes of Annual Meeting held 9th May 2022

  (2.1) Minutes had been approved at Parish Council Meeting September 9th 2022

  1. Matters Arising from previous Annual General Meeting

(3.1) Clerk confirmed that all aspects of the external audit had been approved by external auditors..

  1. Finance Report

     (4.1) motion ‘This Certificate of Exemption is approved by this authority on this date’ Proposed Cllr  S NeedhamSeconded Cllr S Wood. Agreed unanimously

    (4.2) Motion ‘The Annual Governance Statement for 2022/23 is approved by this authority’                       Proposed Cllr S Needham, seconded by Cllr S Wood. Agreed unanimously.

(4.3) Motion ‘to accept the Accounting Statements for 2022/23 and approve them’. Proposed by Cllr S Needham, Seconded by Cllr S Wood. Agreed unanimously

  (4.4) The Clerk reported that at the financial year-end there was a balance of £1613 in the Parish Council Account and £2264.95 in the Parish Council Business Account.    Proposed by Cllr S Needham and seconded by Cllr S Wood to approve the accounts for 2022/2023 Agreed unanimously

  1. Chairman’s Report

(5.1) Chairman gave a verbal report summarising the activities of the Parish Council during the last twelve months. She thanked all members of the Parish Council and especially the Clerk for their ongoing efforts and support throughout the past year. She noted that the future regarding St Leonard’s Church continues to be very uncertain and that a close watch will need to be kept on the situation .Thanks were expressed for the efforts to ensure a very successful Jubilee Event .

Provisional date set for 7pm 2nd Monday in May 2024            .
