MINUTES OF THE MEETING - DRAFT
Monday 15th January 2024 at Grimoldby Village Hall at 7.30 pm

3. PUBLIC QUESTIONS/ PRESENTATIONS
(3.1) None
4. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING 25th September 2023
(4.1) Proposed Cllr S Needham, seconded by Cllr S Wood. Agreed
5. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES
(5.1) None.
6. FINANCE REPORT
(6.1) Current overall balance is £4032.84. Business Account £2281.65 SCPCC Account 1751.19.
(6.2) Outstanding Invoices. Village Hall Hire £20 for 15.1.2024; £25 for electricity used by Defibrillator –West View Cottages.
(6.3) Cllr Wood agreed to carry out interim audit of accounts.
7. PARISH PRECEPT 2024-2025
(7.1) Consideration of request for £300 for continued receipt of copies of Village News. In view of the current financial pressure being experienced by everyone with regards to rising cost of living it was decided that the Parish Council could not justify increasing the Parish Precept by 30% to meet this request, Parish Clerk to write to editor Village News informing him of the Parish Council’s decision Action Clerk
(7.2) Following extensive discussions proposed by Cllr S Needham to set Precept for 2024 at £1000. Seconded by Cllr S Wood, agreed unanimously. Action Clerk
8. CORRESPONDANCE REPORT
(8.1) Councillors confirmed receipt of the weekly LALC updates and the electronic copy of LALC News.
(8.2) Councillors agreed to respond individually to the consultation on Greater Lincolnshire Devolution.
(8.3) Letter received from Mr F Slater regarding a meeting he is organising - the public meeting on NHS and health services in Louth area and Lincolnshire This will be at Priory Hotel 149 Eastgate, Louth LN11 9AJ at 7PM Thursday 22nd February, Contents noted. Clerk to notify Mr Slater that the Village Notice boards were available to assist in publicising the meeting. Action Clerk 9, PLANNING MATTERS
(9.1) Planning Application N/158/01400/23 ref Saddleback House had been approved.
