MINUTES OF THE MEETING
Monday 23rd September 2024 at Grimoldby Village Hall at 7.30 pm

4. PUBLIC QUESTIONS/ PRESENTATIONS None
5. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS
(5.1) Parish Annual Meeting 8th May 2024 – Proposed Cllr Needham, seconded Cllr Wood. Agreed.
(5.2) Parish Council Meeting 8thMay 2024 Proposed Cllr Needham, seconded Cllr Beilby, agreed.
(5.3) Planning Committee meeting 3rd June 2024 Proposed Cllr Wood, seconded Cllr Ball, agreed.
6. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES
(6.1) Clerk reported that he had not heard from the Editor of the Village News since he had been informed that the Parish Council was unable to meet the £300 request. However, since copies of the Village News had not been received it is assumed that South Cockerington would no longer be included in its distribution.
7. FINANCE REPORT
(7.1) Current overall balance is £4355.67 Business Account £22301.11 SCPCC Account £2054.56.
(7.2) Outstanding Invoices. Village Hall Hire £20 for 23.9.2024
(7.3) .Clerk clarified why the Village Green was now being cut by NCM. The condition and maintenance of Church Walk raised. Clerk directed to ask NCM for a quote to resume cutting of Church Walk. ACTION CLERK
(7.4) Forms distributed to Cllr Beilby and Cllr Bell for their completion to enable them to be signatures on Parish Council cheques.
8. CORRESPONDANCE REPORT
(8.1) Councillors confirmed receipt of the weekly LALC updates and the electronic copy of LALC News.
(8.2) National Grid Electricity Transmission – Grimsby to Walpole – Land Surveys update had been received by Councillors. General discussion on uncertainty about the coordination of opposition to the proposals. Agreed to include Grimsby to Walpole Pylon proposals as a regular agenda item until further notice.
(8.3) Grit –Ready Parish Council agreed to request free one-tonne salt bag and that arrangement should be made for the grit bins to be filled. ACTION CLERK
9. PLANNING MATTERS
(9.1) N-158 00815-24 Has been refused by ELDC
(9.2) Ref. PL/0055/24 has been withdrawn
10. MATTERS APERTAINING TO PARISH BUSINESS
(10.1) Letter to be placed on Village Notice Bards to congratulate Edward Cox on raising over £10000 for Brain Tumour Research following his successful cycle ride from JOGTLE.
