SOUTH COCKERINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD at Grimoldby Village Hall  

 Monday 13th May 2019 at 7.30 pm.

3 PUBLIC QUESTIONS/ PRESENTATIONS –

(3.1) None

4  MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS

(4.1) The minutes of meeting held on Monday 7th January 2019, proposed by Cllr N. Hole, and seconded by Cllr S Needham. Agreed unanimously.

5 MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES.

           (5.1) Litter pickers had been purchased and were distributed to Councillors. Date for next organised litter collection to be determined.

          (5.2) A replacement bench for the one that will have to be replaced along Church Walk has been purchased for a cost of £288.99. It is in kit form and will be assembled and installed as soon as possible.

         (5.3) Confirmation has been received from J Stockdale that due to financial constraints the  Council will again be unable to offer any financial assistance this year towards grass cutting along Church Walk. Discussion regarding condition of gate at entrance to Church Walk at Chapel Lane entrance Clerk to approach Wishes in Wood to see it the gate can be repaired.                                            Action Clerk

           (5.4) Clerk confirmed that he had attended the Police Panel meeting in Holton le Clay on 8th January and raised concerns regarding recent burglaries and the subsequent police response.

6   STANDING ORDERS

(6.1) Confirmed and adopted to be reviewed in May 2020

7    GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS

(7.1) Confirmed and adopted to be reviewed in May 2020

8   FINANCE REPORT

          (8.1) Current overall balance is £5885.89. Business Account £2258.67   SCPCC Account £3627.22  

          (8.2) Clerk reported that there were invoices outstanding. Bench purchase £289.99; Wreath for Cllr K Steeper £25, Clerk’s expenses for previous 12 months £96.22, Hall hire for Parish Council meeting £18.

9    CORRESPONDANCE

         (9 1) Clerk outlined details of the questionnaire from LALC regarding a clustering arrangement for Parish Councils. Agreed to express no interest in such arrangements at this time.                                Action Clerk

10.   PLANNING MATTERS

(10 1)   N/158/02125/18 Extension and alterations to existing house – The Old Vicarage.  No news regarding this application has been received. Neither has there been for the other two planning application received since the last meeting namely N/158/00090/19- Grasswells, Howdales – change of use and  secondly N/128/00473/19 The Archways, Red Lees Lane

11. STANDING ORDERS 2019.

(11.1) The Standing Orders circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting for their consideration were adopted and will operate with immediate effect.

12. MATTERS ARISING PERTAINING TO PARISH BUSINESS

(12.1) Cllr Shaw raised concerns regarding the capsizing of the road along St Leonard’s Lane in the immediate vicinity of New Hall Clerk to raise this issue with LCC again.                          Action Clerk .
