MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD    (DRAFT)

Thursday 9th September 2021 Grimoldby Village Hall at 7.30 pm

Present   -Cllr S Needham (Chair), Cllr Batman. Cllr P Hope, Cllr S Wood (Vice Chair)

  1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

      (1.1)None

  1. DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS   

     (2.1)None

  1. COOPTION OF COUNCILLORS

          (3.1) Letter has been received from ELDC (27th August 2021)following the resignation of Cllr N Hole that following the Notice of Vacancy that since no request has been received from ten electors for an election to take place the Council may now co-opt a replacement Member.

          (3.2) No person to date has indicated a willingness to be co-opted.

  1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS

       (5.1) The minutes of Annual Parish l meeting held on 4th May 2021 at 7.pm proposed Cllr S Needham and seconded by Cllr S. Wood. Agreed

        (5.2) The minutes of Parish Council meeting held on 4th May 2021 at 7.30 pm proposed Cllr S Needham, seconded Cllr B atman Agreed

  1. MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES.

       (6.1) Cllr S Wood reported that the Environment Agency had investigated the issue of the oil leak. They did not regard the incident as serious and regarded matter as closed, She had requested that the Agency keep the matter under review and had obtained a case reference number to be used if the matter arises again once current dry weather ceases. Case Ref, 193 5354

      6.2) Notification has been received from ELDC that the issue of the ‘residential; style mobile home that has appeared in the grounds of a property in village has been investigated thoroughly and that since there is no evidence to challenge its use. The matter is now closed.

Cllr Batman explained events causing the blockage to the main sewer hat had occurred on South View Lane and actions taken to ensure the issue was resolved satisfactorily. Notices have been placed in the Village Notice Boards to draw parishioner’s attention to items that should not be disposed of via the sewage system.

  1. FINANCE REPORT

           (7.1) current overall balance is £5108.32 Business Account £2260.51   SCPCC Account £2847.81.

           (7.2) currently an outstanding invoice for £12 for annual hard copy of LALC news,

  1. CORRESPONDANCE

            (8.1) Letter from Cllr N Hole tendering his resignation from Parish Council received 20 July. Clerk had written to Cllr Hole on behalf of Parish Council thanking him for his support and contributions over the years.

             (8.2) Councillors confirmed they had all received the weekly LALC updates and the electronic copy of LALC News No other outstanding correspondence

             (8.3) Notification from LCC of road closure from 19-21 October 2021 - South View and Pedlar Lane and a point 60m East.

9      PLANNING MATTERS

         (9 1)   No planning matters

 

10   MATTERS APERTAINING TO PARISH BUSINESS

         (10.1)Cllr Wood informed meeting that she had varnished the Village Notice Board on Chapel Lane. Also briefed councillors on its aged condition,

       (10.2) Discussion of possible activities that may be organised for the 2022 Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. To be considered more fully at a later date.
